Contemporary African artists, designers, and creatives in Finland are visionary cultural practitioners whose work embodies artistic innovation and intellectual depth.

We are proud to co-organise this thoughtfully curated exhibition, hosted by the Embassy of Egypt in Helsinki in collaboration with Finn Church Aid – Kirkon Ulkomaanapu (FCA), Reggie Rusan, and the Finnish-African Society ry / Suomen Afrikka-Seura ry. The exhibition is held at the esteemed Ambassador’s Residence in Kuusisaari, Helsinki.

We extend our deepest gratitude to His Excellency Mohamed Ghoneim, Ambassador of Egypt to Finland, whose visionary leadership and patronage have made this cultural platform possible. We also wish to acknowledge the ingenuity of our co-organiser, Reggie Rusan, whose collaborative spirit has enriched every aspect of the exhibition.

Our featured artists include : Lincoln Kayiwa • Sasha Huber• Macoumba Ndiaye• STUDIOpeee • Rami Kangas • Ife Olowu • MANTANA • Nohhny

This exhibition highlights the talent and creativity of contemporary African artists and designers. It brings together individuals whose work enriches Finland’s cultural landscape and fosters meaningful exchange within the community. The exhibition also demonstrates how these artists connect Finland, Africa, and the international art world, offering fresh perspectives on the future of art.

We are also joined by our partners who will make this art exhibition an unforgettable experience.

Smell the Art : They create a multi-sensory layer through fragrances curated in dialogue with the artworks.

Virtual Art Gallery: They will ensure this exhibition lives on and reaches the global art world. They will bring the exhibition online in 3D, making it possible to experience and discover the works beyond the physical space, opening hours, and location.

We warmly invite you to experience the richness of contemporary African art, design, and creativity with us. For those unable to attend in person, the exhibition is also accessible online through our partnership with Virtual Art Gallery.
